New oil discoveries made on the coast of Pernambuco and Paraíba
According to the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP), studies show that the discoveries are among the most important in Brazil in the last 20 years. The study, that cost US$ 5 million, shows the existence of oil in shallow and deep water. The new areas may be tendered in 2006.
