São Paulo – In every group of ten Brazilians, four made some kind of journey inside the country itself during the year. The information is part of a research carried out by the Ministry of Tourism through the Institute of Economic Research (Fipe).
According to the survey, they are no longer staying with family and friends but are looking for hotels and inns. The main form of transportation used for these journeys is by their own car.
Brazilians that travel the most are those living in São Paulo, which is also the state that receives most tourists. Brazilians from the northeastern state of Ceará are the ones that leave their state to travel the least.
