São Paulo – Next Monday (6th) in São Paulo, the journalist Carlos Abumrad will release his book “Libaneses e Sírios que fazem o Brasil” (The Lebanese and Syrians who make Brazil). The publication contains the biographies of Arab immigrants and descendants such as the former Brazilian Development minister Miguel Jorge, the vice president of the Republic, Michel Temer, the director of advertising agency DPZ, Roberto Duailibi, and others.
The book is Abumrad’s second release with biographies of entrepreneurs from the Arab colony in Brazil. The first book, issued in 2007, featured only the stories of people of Lebanese origin. The author himself is a descendent of Arabs.
The launch of the book "Libaneses e Sírios que fazem o Brasil" will take place at Espaço Sociocultural CIEE, on Tabapuã Street, 455, in the Itaim neighbourhood, at 6:30 pm.
