Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian oil production reached 2.13 million barrels per day in June, representing an increase of 3.2% over May and of 4.2% when compared with June of last year. The figures were disclosed today (1st) by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP).
Natural gas production at national fields reached 67.3 million cubic metres, a 0.9% increase over May and a 6.9% increase over June of last year.
According to ANP, the combined output of the two items reached 2.56 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, as against 2.49 million in May.
The agency informed that in June, 307 concessions were operated by 25 companies. Of these, 82 are offshore concessions and 225 are onshore ones.
Out of the 307 concessions, ten are exploratory and produced by means of long-term testing, and 11 are for fields tendered with marginal accumulations.
