Oil company Petrobras invests bringing Brazil closer to oil self sufficiency
The Brazilian oil giant signed yesterday the last contract for the construction of platform P-53, which will produce 180,000 barrels of oil and six million cubic metres of gas per day. The project is part of the aim of making the country self sufficient in oil already on the following year. Petrobras is going to invest US$ 17.1 billion in 2006.
