Rio de Janeiro – Production in national oilfields in Brazil was 2.676 million barrels per day in February, up 14.6% from February 2016. In February from January, output was down 0.4%. Natural gas production was up 9.2% year-on-year to 106.6 million cubic meters per day, but dropped by 3% in February from January.
The numbers are from the Monthly Oil and Natural Gas Bulletin issued this Monday (3) by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP). Combined oil and gas production was approximately 3.346 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (a measurement unit equivalent to the energy generated by the burning of one barrel’s worth of crude oil).
