São Paulo – Petrobras, Brazilian oil company, is interested in participating in the modernisation of the greatest oil refinery in Peru, PetroPeru. The project for the improvement of the Talara unit, in the North of the country, is to begin yet this year, according to an announcement made this Thursday (03) by the company. The competition for the US$ 265 million contract should be open soon. The Japanese company Marubeni will also compete, according to information published by Reuters. Petrobras already has operations in Peru. The company produces in the country 25,800 barrels of oil per day.
