On its 451st anniversary, São Paulo wishes to double the number of tourists
The city, which celebrates today its anniversary, received in 2004 about 7.5 million visitors, of which 1.5 million were foreigners. The São Paulo Convention & Visitor Bureau estimates that the total figure will reach 15 million in 2010. The city is the richest in Brazil, the 4th largest in the world and the main business centre in Latin America.
