São Paulo – Seven out of ten small- and medium-sized enterprises (73%) in Brazil have been making online sales since the novel coronavirus pandemic started. So said a new survey carried out with 508 entrepreneurs in February by credit research company Serasa Experian.
Out of the companies involved in e-commerce, 83.1% intend to keep doing business on the Internet even as the pandemic ends. The most used channels for sales are social media and instant message apps, particularly WhatsApp (72%).
The respondents also revealed that online sales helped them reach different audiences (51% mentioned that), increased the business’ exposure (44.8%) and allowed to reach new regions (34.5%).
