São Paulo – The Palestinian ambassador to the Brazilian capital Brasília, Mayada Bamie, visited today (21) the head office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo. She was received by the president at the organisation, Antonio Sarkis Jr., and other directors. During the meeting, the participants talked about the situation in the Palestine, and about ways of promoting economic development in the country.
One of the options discussed was promoting religious tourism and, to that extent, the participation of Palestinian agencies in the annual fair of the Brazilian Travel Agency Association (Abav), to be held in October in the southeastern Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
Also attending the meeting were the managing vice-president at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Paulo Sérgio Atallah, the foreign relations vice-president, Helmi Nasr, the foreign trade vice-president, Salim Schahin, the secretary general, Michel Alaby, and the directors Mustapha Abdouni, Adel Auada, and Wladimir Freua.
