São Paulo – A delegation of eight parliament members from Kuwait should arrive in Brazil tomorrow (13) with the objective of improving the dialogue between both countries. The representatives of the Kuwait National Assembly, as the parliament in that country is known, are going to meet with the presidents of the Brazilian Senate, Renan Calheiros, Lower House, Severino Cavalcanti, and also with the president of the Lower House Foreign Relations Committee, Aroldo Cedraz.
According to information provided by the Kuwaiti embassy in Brasília, the group includes parliament members Jamal Hussein Al-Umar, Saleh Ahmada Achour, Rached Al-Hubaida, Walid Munahi Al-Ubaimi, Issam Salman Al-Dabous, Sami Al-Chaie, Bader Kambar and Dhahi Abdul-Malek.
They are going to stay in Brazil up to Friday (16). On Thursday (14), the Kuwaiti ambassador, Hamood Al-Roudhan, is going to give a luncheon in their honour. According to the embassy, apart from Calheiros, Cavalcanti and Cedraz, the meeting will also include the ambassadors of other Arab countries, Lower House representatives and senators from the Brazil-Arab Parliamentary League, as well as representatives from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB) and of the Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty).
