São Paulo – Peace talks on Syria were resumed this Monday (10th) in Geneva, Switzerland. The mediator for the United Nations and the Arab League, Lakhdar Brahimi, met with a delegation from the Syrian opposition and then with government delegates.
According to the UN, the debate focused on the second round of negotiation. The first round took place in January. The topics include ending violence and terrorism, and establishing a transitional government.
The civil war in Syria began nearly three years ago and the death toll has exceeded 100,000, according to the UN.
