Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian oil company Petrobras refined on January 1st this year a record volume of oil. According to a statement disclosed by the company on Tuesday (8), some 2.111 million barrels of oil were processed that day. The previous record, from August 12, had been 10,000 barrels less.
According to Petrobras, the volume was reached without compromising the trustworthiness of installations and without risks to safety and to the environment.
According to the press statement, the record volume refined contributed to the reduction of imports of oil products, like petrol.
