Rio de Janeiro – Petrobras plans on shipping approximately 250,000 oil barrels per day (bpd) in H2 this year, up 51% from H1. The projection and other announcements have been made this Monday (11th) during a presentation of Q2 results to investors at the Brazilian oil company’s headquarters in downtown Rio.
In H2 2014, the company is expecting oil products output to be up 4% (to 2.24 million bpd) from the average in H1 (2.15 million bpd). During the presentation, the company announced once again that the annual output target for this year is 7.5% higher than the last result from last year.
According to Petrobras’ Exploration and Production director José Formigli, the addition of a well to the floating unit Cidade de Paraty has been completed and will add 30,000 bpd to output at the Lula Field, in the Santos Basin.
