Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) issued on Thursday a preliminary request for bids and the minutes of contracts for the 5th Pre-Salt Oil and Gas Production Sharing Tender Round, set to take place on September 28, whereby the Saturno, Titã, Pau-Brasil and Southwest – Tartaruga Verde will be auctioned. The documents will be open to public consultation until July 11 and a public hearing will take place two days afterwards (13).
Since Petrobras expressed an interest in bidding to operate the Southwest – Tartaruga Verde area, ANP drafted three different production sharing contract minutes: one with Petrobras as mandatory operator in Southwest – Tartaruga Verde; one with Petrobras as non-mandatory operator in Southwest – Tartaruga Verde; and one with Petrobras as non-mandatory operator in Saturno, Titã and Pau-Brasil.
The preliminary request for bids includes the areas set to be tendered, rules and procedures, and a preliminary schedule of the 5th Tender Round. The ANP said the texts have been adapted from previous tender rounds to match the oil blocks at hand. As a result, the blocks’ technical and economic parameters have been included.
