São Paulo – Brazilian poultry exports increased in November. This Wednesday (2nd), the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) reported that 389,100 tons of chicken meat were exported last month, up 15.2% from a year ago. Revenues from exports stood at BRL 2.297 billion, up 33.8%. Revenues in US dollars, however, shrank 9.7% to USD 608.3 million.
In a statement, ABPA vice president for Poultry Ricardo Santin said that it can be stated by now that export results will be positive in 2015. Year-to-date, Brazil exported 3.9 million tons of poultry, up 4.1% from January through November, 2014. Revenues reached BRL 21.617 billion, up 25.4% in Brazilian currency, but down 11.4% to USD 6.569 billion.
