São Paulo – The Brazilian Poultry Union (Ubabef) informed that this Monday (29th), an addendum to the Integrated Sectorial Project that it maintains with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex) will be signed. Under the agreement, an additional budget of 200,000 reals (approximately US$ 124,000) will be made available for the programme, which aims to promote Brazilian poultry in foreign countries from 2010 to 2012.
According to the Ubabef, the projecy already counts on a budget of 4.835 million reals (US$ ) to be divided in equal parts between the two organizations. The addendum will be signed by the Ubabef CEO, Francisco Turra, and the Apex president, Maurício Borges, at Expointer, an agricultural trade show held in Esteio, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
According to the Union, the funds will be allocated to participations at international fairs, promotion of workshops and production of publications on the industry to be distributed in foreign countries.
