Rio de Janeiro – Boosted by the production of the fields within the pre-salt region at the Santos Basin, Petrobras reached a new oil and gas output record with 2.81 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day.
The data was announced this Monday (17) and shows that, from this total, 2.7 million barrels of oil equivalent were produced in Brazil and 113,000 abroad. In the country’s fields only, the average oil output was of 2.2 million daily barrels, up 0.6% over May of this year.
According to Petrobras, the results were attributed, especially, to the resume of production of platform P-43, located at the Barracuda and Caratinga fields, at the Campos Basin, and of platform FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba, at the Lula field, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin, after being shut off for scheduled maintenance.
