São Paulo – Pre-salt layer oil production in Brazil averaged 1.78 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in April, up 2.3% from March, the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported this Monday (4).
The material originated from 86 wells located in the so-called pre-salt layer area, comprising 1.423 million barrels worth of oil and 58 million cubic meters of natural gas.
The pre-salt layer accounted for 54.4% of total oil and gas production in Brazil, which was 3.281 million boed.
