Brasilia – The president of Peru and current president of the Community of South American Nations, Alejandro Toledo, emphasised today, in an interview to the press, after the opening of the summit for South American and Arab countries, the trade characteristic of the meeting. "This is a good meeting to identify opportunities for investments and trade," stated Toledo.
"We are interested in strengthening peace, respect for human rights and democracy," he said. Toledo said that, as president of Peru and the South American Community, he does not believe to be pertinent to give this meeting a "political" dimension, when it has another characteristic.
