Brasília – Entries are open for the Scale-Up Nacional program. Designed to support food and beverage industry companies, it targets established enterprises with the potential to achieve fast growth, i.e. to scale up their business.
The project is run by non-profit Endeavor with sponsorship from Nestlé. It will see 15 companies receive training and guidance towards what the organizers describe as “consistent growth.”
Industries covered include beverages, traditional food, plantation-based foods, functional and complementary foods and beverages, food technology and e-commerce.
The program is expected to last five months. Mentors will be appointed to advise representatives from participating companies. They will go over ways of conquerying challenges in logistics, sales channels, brand-building and organizational culture.
Endeavor is assisting 235 companies with 18 ongoing programs across the country. It said that after completing its programs, companies have seen growth of up to 93% and staff growth of as much as 23%.
