São Paulo – The World Innovation Summit for Health (Wish), whose second edition will take place in February 2015 in Doha, the capital of Qatar, will feature the international contest “Innovation Showcases” for innovative projects in healthcare. Wish is an initiative of the Qatar Foundation, an organization active in education, science and culture established by Mozah Bint Nasser, wife of the country’s former emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The contest’s winners will showcase their work at the upcoming summit to over 1,000 specialists expected to attend, according to the event’s organisers. The projects will be on display in stands during the two-day conference.
The projects submitted must have already been developed and can be products, services or digital solutions. The organisers require applicants to send a video explaining the advantages of the initiative at hand.
Any health-related project may be submitted, but seven areas will be given priority, according to the organisers: communication of complex health-related information; accessible cancer treatment; dementia; diabetes; patient safety; universal healthcare coverage; and mental well-being of children and youths.
Registration is open until October 31st. To register or obtain further information about the contest, go to www.wish.org.qa/2015-summit/innovation-showcases.
