Record high exports, more investment
Cooperatives in the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil, should post record high exports in 2007. Forecasts show that they should invest more than 1 billion Brazilian reais (US$ 530.3 million) this year. The sugar and alcohol sector is one of the highlights: it will invest 242% more than it did last year. The cooperatives should also invest more in logistics and storage.
