São Paulo – Oncologist Riad Younes, vice-president of Marketing of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce was honored at the ceremony “Tribute to Communities’ Representatives” on August 23 at the São Paulo State Legislature in the city of São Paulo.
The tribute is an initiative of the State Parliament Council of Grassroots and Foreign Cultures Communities (Conscre), organization created by the São Paulo State Assembly in 2001 with the aim to pay tribute to personalities that stood out within their communities.
Younes was honored for his services to the Arab community. He’s the director general of the Oncology Center at the Oswaldo Cruz German Hospital and one of the most respected physicians in his area. “We are honored and moved. I didn’t expect to receive a tribute, but I’m honored for the recognition of my work”, said the physician.
