São Paulo – The Rio-à-Porter business salon, held from the 10th to the 13th this month on the sidelines of the Fashion Rio week, in Rio de Janeiro, generated 610 million reals (US$ 366 million) in business deals, an increase of 16% compared with last year. International buyers who visited the stands included importers from Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, Chile, Venezuela, Ireland, Angola, New Zealand and the United States.
According to data from the organizers, export deals reached US$ 22 million, a 20% increase compared with 2010.
Rio-à-Porter and Fashion Rio combined received 85,000 people and an investment of 5 million reals (US$ 3 million).
