Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian tourism minister, Vinicius Lages, launched this Friday (19th), in Armação dos Búzios, in the area known as Região dos Lagos in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the tourism programme Lidera Rio Turismo. The fruit of a partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and the national and local instances of Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), the project is designed to create an integrated strategic agenda for the promotion of tourism in the cities of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the minister, the programme strengthens the structuring of tourist destinations. They are comprised of the set of services, equipment, hotels, bars, restaurants and all which pertains to the place people will go to." Alongside municipal leaders, Lead Rio Tourism works on arranging this tourism and qualification agenda, including tourism information signs," said Lages.
