Brasília – Brazil is counting on a revision of its export quotas, especially chicken exports, for the Russian market next year. Details are being worked out right now during the visit by Russian vice prime minister, Boris Alioshin, who is in Brasilia at the head of a trade mission.
Alioshin says a decision on the quotas will depend on Russian elections, scheduled for March. But he said there is room for expanding bilateral trade to other areas. The Russians have been favorably impressed with Embraer civilian aircraft and would like Brazil to like Russian military aircraft.
