São Paulo – The governor of the state of São Paulo, João Doria, held an online B2B with investors from Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Monday (14) morning. This was the sixth round of virtual meetings as part of the economic recovery program of the state of São Paulo for 2021 and 2022.
“We finished the sixth round of roadshows, virtual meetings with major international investors, this time with investors from the Middle East, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where some of the world’s most important investment funds are,” Doria said in a video published on the social media.
The governor reported this was part of presentations to major international investors, following meetings held with the United States, Canada, Europe, China and Japan, in search for investments for 2021 and 2022.
“More investments in the economy of São Paulo, more jobs, more opportunities for São Paulo and Brazil,” said Doria.
The Resumption 21-22 is an economic development program of the state of São Paulo aiming at promoting growth by attracting private investment as concessions and public-private partnerships (PPP).
The meeting featured Brazil’s ambassador do Abu Dhabi, Fernando Igreja, and the UAE’s consul to São Paulo, Ibrahim Alalawi. The head of the São Paulo administration (Investe SP) office in Dubai, Silvia Pierson, and the chief representative and national manager for Latin America of the First Abu Dhabi Bank, Angela Martins, participated as well.
