São Paulo – For the second time this week, Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) hit a record. This Thursday (24) saw the indicator reach 97,677 points, up 1.16% from Wednesday’s 96,558-point record.
Biggest-gaining shares were retail chain Viavarejo (6.4%); education conglomerate Kroton (5.54%); and highway concessionaire EcoRodovias (5.28%).
Biggest-losing shares were logistics company Log Com (-2.08%); retail chain Magazine Luiza (-1.25%); and clinical analysis lab company Fleury (-0.95%). Most traded shares were oil company Petrobras, up 0.43%, bank ItauUnibanco (-0.13%) and mining company Vale (+0.9%).
The US dollar ended the day up 0.22% to BRL 3.77, The Euro slid 0.63% to BRL 4.26.
