São Paulo – São Paulo will host starting Thursday (23) the 7th Interamerican Arabian Horse Exhibition, which will gather over 120 animals at the Parque da Água Branca. Competition events will run through Sunday, May 26, featuring horses from Brazilian states São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Distrito Federal, and other attractions.
According to the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association (ABCCA), the four sporting events will be judged by Brazilians and foreigners, including Palestine’s Sufian Taha Al Husseini, da Palestina. Other judges are Luiz Antônio Moreira Rocco, from Brazil, and Steve Dady, from the United States.
There will be one event of Conformation (Halter) and three of Performance (Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, and Traditional Costume). Halter judges a horse’s bone structure, musculature, and its body proportions in relation to each other, while performance events takes into account riding styles, the riders’ costumes, and the horses’ gear.
