São Paulo – Inflation in Saudi Arabia ended 2025 up 2% compared to 2024, according to a survey by the government’s statistical authority GASTAT. Residential rental costs and administered prices—such as water, electricity, and gas supply—were the items with the largest price increases.
According to GASTAT, the rise in rental prices and basic services had a “significant impact on the increase in annual inflation.” Data from the authority show that rental costs rose by an average of 8.2% in 2025, while water, electricity, and gas costs increased by 6.1% compared to 2024.
Food and beverages recorded inflation of 1.1% and transport costs rose 0.4%, while prices of household goods and furniture fell 0.8% on an annual basis. Last year, information and communication prices also declined (-0.7%) due to a 6.8% drop in the prices of information and communication equipment, according to the institution.
