São Paulo – The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), in partnership with Export Bahrain, will hold the “Why Brazil?” seminar next Sunday (1) in Manama, Bahrain. According to Rafael Solimeo, director of the ABCC’s Dubai office, the event aims to showcase business opportunities between the two countries. The “Why Brazil?” seminar will take place in other countries throughout the year, with editions in Oman and Lebanon in the first half, and planned presentations in Jordan and Qatar in the second half.
“We created ‘Why Brazil?’ to show Arabs why they should invest in Brazil, why buy from Brazil, and why sell to Brazil. And for Brazilians, why invest in, buy from, and sell to Arab countries. These initiatives aim to promote Brazil in places where it can still expand its presence,” he says.
Solimeo explains that these events will not be large seminars but rather opportunities to increasingly introduce Brazil and its business potential to local partners and entrepreneurs. Export Bahrain is the Arab country’s agency for fostering the internationalization of Bahraini companies.
The event program includes an opening presentation by Brazil’s ambassador to Manama, Adriano Pucci, followed by a talk from Export Bahrain, and then a presentation by Solimeo on the activities of the ABCC and the potential for investment and business with Brazil. “Additionally, we’ll bring companies already established in the Middle East to present themselves, showcase Brazilian products, and, why not, explore opportunities to enter Bahrain,” says Solimeo.
After the seminar, business meetings will take place. On Monday (2), the agenda continues with visits to potential Bahraini clients. Representatives from Brazilian companies in açaí, fashion, meat, and food commodities, and the São Paulo Investment and Competitiveness Promotion Agency (InvestSP) will participate in this mission.
