São Paulo – The biggest photovoltaic solar park active in Brazil opened in Bom Jesus da Lapa (BA), the result of USD 175 million in investment from Enel Green Power, the Brazilian renewable energy subsidiary of Italy’s Enel group. Comprising two plants, the so-called Complexo Lapa has 158 MW installed capacity.
The park generates enough 100%-clean energy to meet the annual needs of 166,000 Brazilian households, preventing the emission of 198,000 tons of CO² into the atmosphere.
