São Paulo – A group of Brazilian entrepreneurs, amongst them the president of shoe factory Grendene, Alexandre Grendene Bartelle, is studying the possibility of building an iron and steel factory in Mato Grosso do Sul, state in the Midwest of Brazil, in the city of Três Lagoas.
The information was confirmed by the governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, José Orcírio Miranda dos Santos. "We hope the construction is completed by the end of 2006," said the Governor to the news agency Agência Interior. He stated, however, that there is no forecasted date to start building.
