State of Pernambuco had record exports performance in the first semester
The northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco broke export records in the first half of 2005, presenting growth of 77% over the same period last year. The main product in the state export basket was sugar, which presented growth of 27% in the first six months of 2005, but greater added value products also played an important part.
