São Paulo – A delegation of businessmen and engineers from Sudan should visit São Paulo this week. The group of 16 businessmen should arrive in the city of São Paulo on Tuesday (15) to visit the Feicon Batimat, a fair in the civil construction sector, to begin on Tuesday (15) and end on Saturday (19). Apart from understanding the tendencies of civil construction, architecture and decoration, the delegation wants to learn about Brazilian companies operating in the sector.
According to the secretary general at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, the group is led by the president of Bakri Development Group Ltd., Bakri Yousif Omer. The delegation should also include the secretary general of the Sudanese Businessmen Association, engineer Malik Ali Dongula. The delegation, however, should not only visit Feicon. "They will then head to Brasília to meet with building sector businessmen and to learn more about the segment in Brazil," said Alaby.
Back to the city of São Paulo, the delegation should visit works developed by Sabesp, the utility that supplies water and sewage collection and treatment in São Paulo, carried out by construction company Odebrecht. They should also visit sector associations like the National Association of Building Material Retail (Anamaco) and the Civil Construction Industry Association (Sinduscon-SP). The Sudanese should also visit shops and building material distribution centres.
The group includes representatives of producers of concrete pipes, tanks and steel structures, as well as specialists in electric transmission and telecommunications sectors and architects. Prior to leaving Brazil, they should visit another fair, Revestir, focussed on facing. The Sudanese group should remain in Brazil up to the 24th.
Fairs
Feicon is one of the main building sector events. This year the fair should include 750 companies from 21 countries. The organizers estimate that 150,000 people should visit the fair over five days, in which 2,500 releases will be presented to those present at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion. ExpoRevestir shows novelties in the tile, marble, laminate and granite sectors, and should take place at the Transamerica Expo Center, from March 22nd to 25th.
