Brasilia – Brazilian exports added up to US$ 2.031 billion last week, with a drop in 28.31% in relation to the previous week. On the other hand, imports in the four working days last week increased in 6.25% and reached US$ 1.633 billion.
With this, the trade surplus (exports minus imports) was of only US$ 398 million, with a drop in 69.3% in comparison with the surplus of US$ 1.296 billion in the previous week, of five working days.
The general figures of the trade balance were released this morning (17) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, and show that the accumulated surplus in the year reached US$ 11.040 billion, with an increase in 13.83% over the US$ 9.699 billion registered in the same period last year.
The surplus until now is the result of total exports of US$ 34.252 billion (+24.93%) against imports equivalent to US$ 23.212 billion (+31%).
