Sweets from northeastern Brazil in Middle Eastern markets
Part of the 4,000 tonnes of candies, caramels, lollipops and chewing gum produced every month by Simas, company in the northeastern state of Rio Grande do Norte, are consumed in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Palestine. The lollipops are the most sold products to the region. They get a special package, with information in Arabic, before entering the local market.
