Brasília – Scientists are meeting today (11) in the city of Belém (capital of the northern Brazilian state of Pará) to discuss advances in research in the Amazon over the last 40 years. The debates will take place at the 2nd Amazon Biotaxy Symposium.
At the meeting the main concerns of researchers will also be discussed. This includes problems like deforestation, climate change and reduction of biodiversity.
The symposium, which will count on the participation of over 600 people, will last four days.
