São Paulo – Syria has floated a tender for buying 1,737 pregnant heifers and 3,474 pollination straws, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform reported to the Syrian embassy in Brasília. The tender is held by the General Organization for Cattle based in Hama.
The deadline for submitting the offers to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform is October 29. Brazilians can submit it through the embassy in Brasília but should do so in advance so that there is time for it to be forwarded. The delivery period of heifers is 180 days.
According to the document released, bidders are requested to acquire the tender book for EUR 50 for foreigners and SYP 25,000 for the internal bidders. The bid bond is SYP 105 million for the internal bidder and EUR 210,000 for the external bidder. More information can be obtained at the Syrian embassy in Brasília.
