São Paulo – The Syrian-Lebanese Hospital, headquartered in the city of São Paulo, promoted over 400 events targeting doctors and healthcare professionals last year. For this year, the organization has already scheduled 17 courses, journeys and symposia. The events are promoted by the Teaching and Research Institute (IEP), a centre of excellence in training and updating for scholars and professionals in the medical field.
In total, the events held in 2009 brought together 12.500 people. This year, in February, the hospital starts its schedule by offering a course on shoulder and elbow surgery. In the same month, a symposium on face lifting surgery will be promoted. The information was supplied by the organization’s press office.
The events that have already been scheduled for this year, aside from those already mentioned, include nursing in hemotherapy, artificial pacemakers for doctors, cell transplant, gynaecology oncologic gynaecology, geriatrics, cardiology, intensive care medicine, and gastrointestinal oncology.
