São Paulo – The new ambassador of Brazil to Damascus, Edgar A. Casciano, presented his credentials to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad yesterday (26). The president of Syria also accepted the credentials of the ambassadors of Korea and Malaysia yesterday. Each ambassador was received individually.
Al-Assad wished Casciano luck in his work in Syria. The ceremony for delivery of the credentials was accompanied by the minister of Foreign Relations of Syria, Walid al-Moallem, by the Presidential Relations minister, Ghassan al-Laham, and by the presidential secretary, Mansour Azzam, according to an article published by the Syrian Arab News Agency (Sana).
