Soaps manufactured in Brazil are gaining ground in the international market. ABIHPEC says it has been the sector’s second most exported item since 2015.
The trade show took place in the UAE, and Brazil’s participation was supported by industry project Beautycare Brazil. The event is expected to lead to USD 50 million worth of deals in the next 12 months.
Over 50 companies from Brazil will exhibit and launch products at the Beautyworld Middle East show in Dubai starting Monday (31).
Brazilian manufacturers grossed USD 588.3 million from exports of toiletries, fragrances and cosmetics from January to September. Leading exports were hair care products and soaps.
Year to date through July, exports of cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances climbed 14%.
Brazilian foreign sales of toiletries, perfumery, and cosmetics advanced 22.1% in September. The solid shipments of items such as soaps and hair care products contributed to the growth.
Hair straightening cosmetics continue to be the main products sold by Brazil to the region. Dubai Bars, a range of innovative Brazilian cosmetic bars, was launched at the event. The on-site show ends on Thursday (7).
Data from the first half of 2021 shows hair care products and deodorants boosted the upward situation.
The Brazilian Toiletry, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry Association released this Monday its calendar of trips in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
