Ramax has a headquarter in Brazil and branch offices in the United States and Lebanon. The goal of its first participation in the fair is amplifying businesses with the Arab world.

Arab Halal Day will be held on October 23 as a marketing action during the food industry show in France, featuring beef barbecue and chicken shawarma to appeal to Arab importers.
Brazil shipped out 114,420 tons last month, up 17.6% over August 2017.
Ramax will provide meat cut samples to a Syrian importer who’s interested in buying product from Brazil. The parties got in touch at the stand organized by the Arab Chamber and the Embassy of Brazil.
Foreign sales of the Brazilian product totaled USD 3.5 billion from January to July. Arab countries imported USD 514 million worth of beef.
The company redirected part of the cuts from Brazilian plants that used to go to Russia to the region. The Russian market still hasn’t lifted the ban to Brazilian beef imposed at the end of last year.
Exports reached USD 5.2 billion and imports came out to USD 3.3 billion in the third week of May in Brazil. Month-to-date, there was a USD 5 billion surplus.
The region accounted for 31% of the meat company’s foreign sales between April 2017 and March of this year.
