Crystal Asfour Brasil, which sells crystal products from Egyptian company Asfour, has supplied chandeliers for the foyers of two Cyrela residential developments in São Paulo. The company has found a potential market in Brazil for decorative lighting in the common areas of buildings.

A piece with approximately 150,000 Egyptian crystals weighing around 500 kilograms was installed at the Misericórdia Mosque in São Paulo, Brazil. The designer says it’s a symbol of Brazil-Egypt relations.
Crystal Star’s chandelier and light fixture design competition started in February, and designers and architects can register until May. The winners will be announced in June and be rewarded with a trip to Egypt in October.
