Children’s books by two Brazilian expatriates will be published in the UAE. The launches will take place in two fairs, one in Sharjah and another in Abu Dhabi.

‘A Story Made Up from Beginning to End’ is based on Palestinian folk tales. Nimer is one of the most important Arab children’s authors. The book has been translated from Arabic into Portuguese and published by Tabla, which will livestream the launch on Wednesday (26).
The Dubrasil Book Club musters Brazilians in the emirate since 2015. This year, one of its founders also launched a children’s library.
Brazilian writer Wiana Kell, who lives in the UAE, released her second children’s book, ‘O Jardim da Lua’ [The Garden of the Moon]. The work was written in Portuguese, but she is in talks to publish it in Arabic and English.
‘Dates and Kibbeh’ was written by Isa Colli of Espírito Santo, Brazil, who currently lives in Belgium. The book is available in Portuguese and English, and there are plans for a translation into Arabic.
The book ‘My name is Ali. What is your name?’, by Ladimari Toledo Hoeppler of Brazil, was launched this month at the Sharjah International Book Fair. The main character is a ten-year-old boy with Down Syndrome.
The 17th Paraty International Literature Festival will feature two performances telling the story of the Syrian little girl Amal, who needs to take the most important trip in her life, as well as performances by Orquestra Mundana Refugi.
Publisher Zahle is releasing Marta Tajra’s ‘Brimos – A História da Imigração Árabe para o Brasil,’ de Marta Tajra, no in São Paulo’s Syrian Sports Club on Saturday.
