Brazilian companies will take part in a fair focused on halal products and services in Kuala Lumpur in September. Malaysian office MATRADE São Paulo says Brazil’s presence reflects the Latin American giant’s growing adoption of halal standards. Spots are still available to participate.

The supermarket trade show ended on Thursday (15) in São Paulo with high attendance and strong interest in the booths organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber, which featured exhibitors from Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt.

The food and beverage trade fair featured exhibitors from at least six Arab countries, some of them in pavilions organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber. Beni Piatetzky, general director of Koelnmesse Brazil, believes there is room to increase the region’s participation.

Brazilian food products saw high demand at the Dubai trade fair, which concluded on Friday (21). The global landscape is driving the search for new suppliers, which has contributed to the strong performance. The Arab-Brazilian Chamber took 12 members.

Exhibitors like peanut cooperative CAMAP and food firm Centro International secured deals during the fair, which runs until Friday (21) in Dubai, UAE. These and other companies are participating in spaces organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

The Jordan Food Expo will take place from February 24 to 28 in Amman. The event is the industry’s largest in the country and hosts up to 30,000 attendees.
