Four partners opened the first official store of the Brazilian footwear brand in October but are already working on launching an online operation and retail outlets in other cities across the country.

The Brazilian company increased revenue from footwear exports to BRL 142.8 million (about USD 27.16 million) in the year’s second quarter. Grendene owns brands such as Melissa and Itapema, among others, and is one of the biggest global producers in the sector.
The industry will have an area in Brazil pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai in November and present initiatives for sustainability such as certification and successful cases of companies that are incorporating this notion into business.
