Brazil’s Arab Culture Institute will hold a series of online debates on Arab culture in the coming months. The first will occur this Wednesday (1), at 7:00 pm BRT, with professor and writer João Baptista de Medeiros Vargens.

After two years solely in an online format, film screenings are also taking place in person again in the capital of São Paulo. Festival organizers and supporters spoke at the opening this Wednesday (31).
The screenings will occur at CineSesc, in São Paulo, on the festival’s return to the in-person format, from August 31 to September 7. Three films will be available on the Sesc Digital platform.

One of the works is directed by Brazil’s Otavio Cury. The films will be screened on the Festival and SESC’s digital platforms. This year’s edition will rn from August 20 to September 16.
ICArabe held 21 online classes on the Arab-Islamic contributions to humankind. Over 3,000 people attended live on Zoom, and over 10,000 watched on YouTube.
Soraya Smaili is the first woman ever to be president of the Federal University of São Paulo. Her many achievements include research, fighting the coronavirus, Oxford Vaccine testing, and bringing democracy and transparency to public universities. She’s also the founder of the Institute of Arab Culture.
The event is taking place online in two different platforms this year. It will continue until September 27.
