A delegation from Brazil’s agriculture ministry received from Oman’s government the sanitary approval and authorization for Brazilian exports of live cattle to the Arab country.

AgroExport director Alexandre Carvalho, who is exhibiting in a space organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber in the Dubai show, believes live cattle purchases will occur due to the demands ahead of the Muslim holy month.
Two thousand eight hundred cattle from the Northern Brazilian state of Pará were shipped. Another 3,000 animals are expected at the Jorf Lasfar port on April 8. The Moroccan government waivered the import tariff for 30,000 livestock until the end of this year.
Ship has started being loaded last Saturday at the Port of Rio Grande with animals of the races Hereford, Angus, Braford and Brangus.
